13 Happy Things

And so, I am married. Things I love about my wedding in no particular order:

1. Decor

I love my decor by Jentayu Gallery. I love that even the CC's stage curtain is in a shade of dusty pink which matched my decor completely. I didn't even realise this until guests actually pointed this out to me. How lucky is that my CC's stage curtain is dusty pink? You can see my girls and part of my pelamin from this picture, plus the CC's curtain.

2. Ribbon Wand

Remember I was worried that waving the ribbon wands for my last entrance would not work because I didn't think my guests would want to actually wave them. Turns out that guests all wanted to wave them especially the kids obviously. Haha. Can't wait to see the pictures! There's a video which my sister took but couldn't play video when I uploaded it just now. :/

3. Favours

Guests love the cookies which my aunt made herself all the way from KL! Super glad they liked them. :)

4. Red Light

My red light was supposed to come on my wedding day itself but I tried not to take the pill and just hope that it won't come. True enough it didn't! It came a day after the wedding which was the best time because it came in between the wedding and honeymoon! Means I didn't get it during the wedding and I won't get it during the honeymoon either without having to take the pills. Happy okay nature works in my way. Haha.

5. Orkes Mutiara

Firstly, I was elated when my MOH told me that Orkes Mutiara wore mint green. When they told me they were coming in black and green, I thought it was just black baju with green samping. But no, most wore mint green baju and some wore black. Secondly, they entertained my requests of having an entrance for nikah, not to have too loud music and etc. :)

6. Cake

I love my pretty mint green cake from Perfect Frosting! The shade of mint green was so, perfect. I love the design, love the colours, the flowers and thanks to the promo price, it was not even very expensive. :D

7. Outfits for Groomsmen & Bridesmaids

They all looked so pretty and handsome, especially the second outfit. With bow ties, folded khaki pants and loafers for the guys. White top and mint green maxi skirt for the girls. I looked at them and can't stop saying how nice they looked. Haha.

8. Ice Cream

When I told Doulath Catering I wanted ice cream at my wedding, she sourced for me this vendor which impressed me. I thought we would just have tubs of ice cream there with some toppings and that was all. But I was surprised to see they bothered to decorate the table and have lots of toppings for the ice cream. So sad I couldn't taste them. :/

9. Bunga Pahar

This one, was snapped up by I'm not sure who as soon as the wedding ended. My mom was sad she could only find 3 left to keep when I actually ordered 100 of them from PeskaPop. Poor thing my mom! A few asked me where I got them from and they really wanted to keep too. I don't have pictures of them except for this one picture. If you can see, my bunga pahar at the bottom right.

10. Zai's Surprise

After the last outfit entrance, I was on stage at the cake cutting table asking Zai to cut the cake already. But he just stood there asking me to wait. It was already close to the end of the wedding and we needed to cut the cake quick. Then I heard Orkes Mutiara playing a song and Zai started singing the 'seorang lelaki bernama suami...' song. Too lazy to google the title right now. OMG?! Okay I know I am not the emotional kind and didn't cry but I was really touched okay. My husband so sweet can? On the other hand, I was awkward. Haha! Wanna show video but like I mentioned, I tried uploading but it won't play. :/

11. Gift Trays

I am glad I decided to DIY my trays. Not as nice as Zai's acrylic box ones but not bad considering how sucky I am at DIY-ing. :D

12. Invitations

I like my invitation card la. Although the printing is not of the best quality and some elderly find the fonts too small, which I kinda agree too but it was already printed so I can't change that.

13. Family's Outfit

I like the colour, because I chose. The design of materials too, because I chose haha. I don't restrict them to a specific design but I love how their outfits turn out to be, especially my sisters. My second sister did lace patchwork at the shoulders and the hem of the top (refer to picture below but can't really see). My third sister did scallop hem and ribbon tie-back. :)

There are other things I like about the wedding as well just that these 13 things came up first in my mind. For now, gotta run errands for the honeymoon. Can't wait! :)

  5. hey dear. just wanna ask something. how do you personally find the deco by jentayu gallery? because the last time i went to a wedding made up by jentayu gallery (MPH), only the pelamin looks fab. their ceiling drapes are just okay (kind of dirtied)... and there isn't a single chandelier at all so it looks plain and boring. their drapes are tied and lump together with no chandeliers covering it. i'm kind of worried because for the price i'm engaging them for... :/

    1. Hi! Hmm I don't remember the drapes being dirty but I know it was normal looking like what you said. I guess drapes can't be any different from each other but yeah I agree they shouldn't be dirty though. Maybe get them to change if its dirty.

As for the chandelier covering the tied cloth, hmm I think mine have. I can't remember but I just checked my invoice and it was stated that I have for my deco. I looked at one of my pictures I saw something like chandelier at the hall. Maybe it depends on the venue and choice of decor. You can actually check the list of things provided for your chosen decor. They will actually list them all down for you. :)
